Local people asked to help with local elections

Warwick District Council is appealing to local people to step forward to fill a number of paid roles to support the upcoming local elections.

District, Town, and Parish Elections are taking place on Thursday 4 May, and the Council’s elections team is in urgent need of staff to supervise polling stations and also to assist with the count, which will take place at Stoneleigh Park on Friday 5 May.

The roles, which include Presiding Officers, Poll Clerks and Count Clerks, are available to anyone over 18 years, subject to proof of ID, with rates of pay from £170.29 for a Poll Clerk to £261.39 for a Presiding Officer. Those applying to work at a Polling Station will need to be available from 6.30am to 10.30pm on 4 May, and the count will be taking place on Friday 5 May.

Full online training will be available for those applying for Presiding Officer and Poll Clerk roles.
